Introduction to pistol is designed for students who have little to no experience shooting or handling a pistol. It is designed to help students take their first steps toward becoming safe, trained, and responsible shooters in a low-pressure, fun environment. Under the one-on-one guidance of experienced instructors, students will learn about firearms safety, handling firearms, and shooting.
Topics of instruction include:
- Nomenclature / firearm components
- Types of handguns and ammunition
- Loading and unloading
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Drawing from a holster
- Safe storage and transport
Firearms and ammunition will be provided. Students may also bring their own firearm and ammunition. If you have questions about firearms or equipment, please contact us.
Please wear closed toe shoes and appropriate range clothing. Loose fitting clothes could catch hot brass. Eye and ear protection are available at the range.
Brass cased ammo only: No steel core, penetrator, AP, green tip, or ammunition that could damage steel targets or steel bullet traps
